Services for Fred Leland Weeks, 98, who passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012, at The Indianola Good Samaritan Center, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

On Feb. 17, 1914, Fred Leland Weeks, the son of Grover and Dorothy (Wallace) Weeks was born on a farm in rural Warren County. He was united in marriage to Mildred Leota Foreman on April 12, 1936. To this union three children were born, Keith, Marilyn and Dean. The family had lived on a farm south of Indianola in Squaw Township since 1948.

Fred moved to the Good Samaritan Center in 2009.

He is survived by his children Keith (Kimberlie) Weeks of Pharr, Texas, Marilyn (Tom) Hutchison and Dean (Paula) Weeks of Indianola; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother, Donald “Jake” Weeks; sisters, Lucy (Darrow) Condon, Mary Hatcher and Lavena Waldrup. He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred; grandson, Chip Weeks; one brother and three sisters.
