Patricia Ruth Swisher Allgood passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 25, 2012, at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle with burial to follow in the Carlisle City Cemetery. Family visitation will be 6 to 8 pm. Friday at the funeral home.

Patricia was born November 17, 1932 in Des Moines. Patricia is the daughter of John and Cecil Swisher. Patricia was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Des Moines and was a member of the American Legion Auxillary. Patricia is survived by three daughters, Lorraine Allgood of Grimes, Marlene (Ron) Shelley of Des Moines, Phyllis (Kevin) Buttrey of Carlisle, son Larry Allgood of Des Moines; two sisters, Shirley Formaro of Des Moines and Sherry Voiles of Altoona; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Max Allgood; brother, John Swisher, and sister, Virginia Talken.
