Wayne Howard Hollingsworth, age 60, died at his residence Friday, August 10, 2012.

He was the son of Howard and Norma (Lettington) Hollingsworth. He grew up in Indianola; the last to be born at the Indianola Hospital, served two tours of duty in Vietnam, and had lived in Missouri before coming back to Iowa.

A memorial visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2012 at Peterson Funeral Home followed by military honors at 6:50 p.m. and Memorial funeral service at 7 p.m. Burial of his cremains will be in the Iowa Veterans cemetery in Van Meter at 2 p.m. Friday.

Surviving are his children, Danyel (Caleb) Wilson and Joshua Hollingsworth; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brothers and sisters, Marcy (Craig) Cooke, David (Lori) Hollingsworth, Holly (Rick) Estell, Diann (Steve) Wilson, John (Betty) Hollingsworth and Mikel Hollingsworth; his uncle, Roger Higgens; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Preceding in death were his parents; a daughter, Angela Cook; and a infant son, Dustin.
