Robert Lee Riney

Services for Robert Lee Riney, 46, of 911 S.E. Broad Ave., who died of a cerebral hemorrhage Wednesday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton's Funeral Home on Lyon Street. Burial will be at the Hartford Cemetery at Hartford.

Mr. Riney was born in Kirksville, Mo. He lived in Des Moines for 10 years and was senior carrier counselor of the U.S. Army with the Des Moines district recruiting command. He had been active in the service for 26 years before retiring in 1977 and had also worked briefly for the U.S. Postal Service as a mail handler. He had served in Vietman before coming to Des Moines.

Survivors include his wife, Mary E.; two daughters, Patti Foley of Des Moines and Rebecca Riney of Hartford; a sister, Arlene Stone of Memphis, Mo.; his mother, Vivian Rogers of Milton, and a grandchild.
