Mary Dunn, 69, Carlisle

Mary (Tapscott) Dunn, 69, of Carlisle died of complications of a stroke Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Services were held Feb. 8 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Carlisle, with burial at Wallace Cemetery in Wick.
Mrs. Dunn was born in Des Moines and had lived in Carlisle 44 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Adventurer’s Club, Birthright and Fair Housing for the Handicapped. She
enjoyed spending time with others.
She is survived by her husband Chuck; three sons, Mike of Franklin, Tenn., Joe of Carlisle and Kelly of Des Moines; two daughters, Julie Miller of Indianola and Linda Mathews of Des Moines; a brother, John Tapscott of Indianola; a sister, Margaret Starr of Des Moines; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Southtown Funeral Home in Des Moines handled arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to her church, Birthright or Camp Sunnyside.
