Dorothy Grant, 79, a former Iowa resident, died at Vacaville, California, Monday, February 8, 1982. Graveside services will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery, Osceola, on Monday, February 15, at 10 a. m. Visitation will be held Sunday evening, February 14, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kale Funeral Home in Osceola.

Dorothy Grant was born December 23, 1902, to Joseph Jones and Ida Taylor Jones. She was married to Homer Grant and lived in Iowa until 1950 when she moved to California in 1955. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Garden City Chapter, Greeley, Colorado.

Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Kendall of Eli Ama, Alaska, and Pat Gideon of Vacaville, California; one sister, Ruth Scholeman of Norway, Iowa and one granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Homer in 1950.”

Funeral services will be held in Osceola, Iowa, on Monday for 27-year Vacaville resident Dorothy Ida Grant, 79, who died Monday at the Vacaville Home of her daughter.
Born in Iowa, she was a member of Eastern Star Garden City Chapter No. 3 in Greeley, Colo., where she lived from 1947 to 1955. She then moved to Vacaville.
She is survived by two daughters; Virginia Kendall of Alaska and Pat Gideon of Vacaville; one sister, Ruth Scholeman of Norway, Iowa; and one grandchild, Dorothy Harvey-Fune of Phoenix, Ariz.
Burial will be in the Maple Hills Cemetery in Osceola. Friends may call at McCune’s Garden Chapel between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Friday.
