William Eldon Ringle, pastor of the United Trinity Parish of LeRoy, Iowa and Humeston, Iowa, died in his home in Humeston on October 26, 1987 at the age of 53. He was born the son of John Melvin and Anna Louise Ringle on July 21, 1934 in Rochester, Tennessee. He grew up near Logansport, Indiana and graduated from Johnson Bible College in Kimberlin Heights, Tennessee and from Christian Theological Seminary, Indianapolis, Indiana. He was ordained into the Christian ministry in Logansport, Indiana and subsequently served churches in Indiana, and Iowa including Norwalk, Iowa and Fort Dodge, Iowa.
He married Lucille Rae Stump in 1954. She preceded him in death. He married Sharon Stout in 1986.
Memorial services were held in the Christian-United Methodist Church in Humeston. The Rev. William D. Cotton of Creston, Iowa and Dr. William Miller officiated, assisted by Dr. William Bass of Des Moines, Iowa. Burial was in the Norwalk, Iowa cemetery on October 28.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon of Humeston; 2 sons, John Ringle of Humeston and Bill Ringle of Des Moines, Iowa and a daughter, Susan Ward of Indianola, Iowa; 3 step-daughters, Dawn Stout, Melissa Tullis, and Cathi Sickels, all of Des Moines, Iowa.
