Obituary Indianola Tribune April 24, 1935
Martha (Linson) Kline, daughter of G.W. and Sarah Linson, was born in Warren county, Ohio, April 12, 1848, and passed away in her home in West Locona early Friday morning, April 19, 1935, having reached her eighty-seventh birthday Friday, April 12.
She moved with her parents from Ohio to Logan county, Ill., where in 1868 she was married to William Kline. In 1870, they moved to Warren county, Iowa, and settled on a farm near Lacona. They spent all the years since coming to Iowa near and at Lacona, with the exception of a few years spent on a farm near Milo.
Five children were born to this union, two sons and three daughters. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Angie, who died at her home near Milo in 1907, and a son, Arlando, who passed away in Wichita, Kansas, in 1923.
She is survived by her husband, aged 89 years, and three children, Mrs. Ella Hadley, Mrs. Lizzie Hadley and Roy Kline, all of Lacona.
Also six grandchildren and two great-grandsons.Mrs Kline had been in failing health for some time but her last illness was of short duration. She was a kind and loving companion and mother, always cheerful and much loved by her children. Her life was one of loving service.
The funeral was held at the home in Lacona on Sunday afternoon, April 21, the Rev. C.H. Orf, assisted by the Rev. N.P. Orcutt, officiating. Interment was in Belmont Zion cemetery near Milo.
