HIS FATHER MADE THE SHOCKING DISCOVERY AFTER LIFE WAS GONE
Ulysses Drabelle, an unmarried man aged 43 years, committed suicide by hanging himself in a stable on his father’s farm one mile and a half southeast of Spring Hill, Warren County, Monday morning between 10 and 11 o’clock. He hanged himself in a crossbeam in the hay loft with a halter rope. The body was discovered by his father, Julius Drabelle, after life was extinct. Despondency owing to ill health was the cause of the tragedy. The deceased was a native of Warren County and was in good circumstances and highly respected. He had a brother John Drabelle, at St Louis and hade received a letter from him just before the suicide.
