STRAHAN

John W. Strahan died at his home in Warren county, Oct.15, aged 62 years, 8 months and 14 days. He was born in Henderson county, Ill., Feb. 1, 1844, and came with his parents to Marion county when he was about 10 years old, and here grew to manhood, and May 22, 1866, married Candice Ellen Pierson. To them were born three children, Etta, the oldest child, died in 1893, and the wife and children, Mary A. West and Samuel A. Strahan, today mourn the loss of husband and father.
