Died, at his home in Churchville, Iowa, last Tuesday morning, Mr. Edward McManus, aged 76.

Died, at his home at Churchville, Iowa, December 17th, Mr. Edward McManus. Deceased was born 76 years ago in the County Down, Ireland. He married Mary Garvey in 1850, and came to this county soon after and lived two years in Hartford, Connecticutt and six years in Wapello county, Iowa, and thence came to Churchville, where he has since lived. Mr. McManus has been for thirty years the road supervisor of his district, without an intermission, and twenty-one years a school director. He was the father of eight children, six of which, with his wife, are still living. James, Frank and one daughter, Mrs. Hayden, live with the wife at Churchville. Mrs. F. Duff, of Kansas City, John, who lives at Conger, and Joseph, of Bevington. Mr. McManus was buried Thursday morning in the cemetery at Churchville.
