St. Charles and Roundabout

Daniel Proctor, known to many persons in both Madison and Warren counties, and who has been living on his farm two miles northeast of St. Charles for a few years past, has been failing in health quite rapidly for a few months, was in the early part of last week stricken with fever, and died on Thursday night. His remains were taken to Milo on Saturday and interred near his old home. Mr. Proctor was known to be an honest, industrious, obliging man and a conscientious Christian gentleman. His age was near 70 years; and his life had been that of a rustler, consequently, death found him an easy victim. He had gained a world of friends during his residence in our neighborhood.
