Glenn R. Baxendale, 80, of Ackworth died of respiratory failure Sunday, Jan. 17, 1993, at Des Moines General Hospital. Services were held November 21, 1993 at Overton Funeral Home, with burial in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Glenn was born at Norwalk and had lived in Ackworth since 1939. He was a retired dairy farmer and former Coal Miner and Carpenter. He was a member of the Christian Union Church in Indianola.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma; two daughters, Ruth Anderson of Ackworth and Linda Hein of Crane, MO; two brothers, Howard of Montevallio, AL., and Marvin of Arroyo Grande, CA.; two sisters, Elsie Pyle of Northern Hills, CA., and Martha Crow of Marshalltown; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Jericho Hills Church Camp.
