BILLIE STUART, NEW VIRGINIA

Billie Gene Stuart, 26, of New Virginia died Sept. 24, 2007, as a result of an auto accident.
Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 28, at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola. Interment followed in the New Virginian Cemetery.

Bill Stuart was a graduate of Interstate 35 High School and Ellsworth College. He placed at the state wrestling tournament twice in high school and was All-American twice at Ellsworth. He coached wrestling at Ellsworth College, and assisted with the I-35 wrestling program. Bill worked as a laborer for Graham Construction. He was a member of Local #177 Laborers Union and the South Central Iowa Rugby Club.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lois and Harold Stuart and Bill Husted, and his great-grandparents.

He is survived by his parents, Terry and Joanie, of New Virginia; a brother, Mike Stuart of New Virginia; and his grandmother, Harriet Husted of St. Charles.
