INDIANOLA, IA. - David F. Putz, 22, of Indianola died Tuesday near Mount Vernon of injuries suffered in an auto accident. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church near Milo. Burial, with military rites, will be at Rosemont Cemetery.

Mr. Putz was born in Des Moines and lived in Indianola most of his life. He had been a body shop technician at Suburban Mitsubishi in Des Moines, was a member of the Iowa Air National Guard for five years and had graduated from Des Moines Area Community College.

Surviving are his father and stepmother, Jerry and JoAnn Putz of Lacona; his mother and stepfather, Lee and Gary Middleswart of Carlisle; a brother, Donald of Des Moines; a stepbrother, Andy Middleswart of Indianola; his grandmother and step-grandfather, Catherine and Virgil Schurman of Lacona; and his great-grandmother, Alta Smith of Richmond, Calif.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Overton Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. ~ The Des Moines (IA) Register, January 1991
