Mary Ellen "Marie" Lippold, 87, of St. Marys died of pneumonia Sunday, March 28, 1999 at Regency Care Center in Norwalk. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Church in St. Marys, of which she was a member. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Cemetery in Austin, Minn.

Mrs. Lippold was born in New Hampton and moved to St. Marys in 1972 from Austin, Minn. She was a retired retail salesclerk and a member of Bevington Garden Club and St. Marys Quilting Club.

Surviors include her husband, L.T. Buss Lippold; three sons, Robert Blanchfield of Ozark, Ala., Bill Blanchfield of Lakeside, Ariz., and Robert Lippold of Clive; two daughters, JoAnn Stills of New Virginia and Marilyn Ruckauf of Chicago; two sisters, Elanor Norton and Phyllis Langford, both of Fresno, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family will greet friends from 5 to 7:30 p.m. today at Peterson Funeral Home in Indianola, where a wake will be held at 6:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetis Foundation.
