Gladys Reynolds, daughter of Charley Hornaday and Maggie May McCormick was born April 29, 1900 south of Sandyville in Warren County, Iowa and passed away January 28, 1989, at Westview Care Center of Indianola in Indianola, Iowa at the age of 88.

Gladys attended school in Warren County. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of New Virginia. She worked in the lunch room at Indianola School System prior to her marriage.

Gladys was united in marriage to Harry E. Reynolds in Indianola, Iowa on December 9, 1956. They made their home in New Virginia, Iowa until her health failed and she has been a resident of Westview Care Center of Indianola for the past 7 years. Gladys was kind and loving to her husband and step children. She enjoyed her home and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Harry. She is survived by her step children, Helen Elben of Truro, Iowa; Wayne Reynolds and wife, Doris; Marie Mitchell and husband Merrell all of New Virginia; June Dop and husband Arlen of Des Moines; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Services were held January 31, 1989 at Kale Funeral Home with interment at New Virginia Cemetery
