POWELL, William Fred, Indianola, attorney; was born in Kent county, Delaware, in 1849, and was educated at Wyoming College and Simpson Centenary College, where he graduated in 1873; he taught one year in the High School; he read law, and was admitted to the bar before Judge Leonard in 1875; he engaged in the abstract business, and sold out to Hall & Carruthers in 1876; he was elected mayor of the city in 1876-1877, and at present is associated with A. C. Bishop, in the practice of his profession.
