FAGAN, LUKE, farmer, Linn Township, Sec. 19; P. O. Des Moines; born in Ireland in the year 1826; he lived in New York State for a short time; moved from there to Peoria, Ill., where he lived till he came to this county in 1868; he married Miss Sarah Richards, a native of New York, in 1849; they have a family of eleven children living: Mary, John, Josephine, Elizabeth, Kate, Jane, Joseph, Duke, James, Ralph, and Augusta. He owns a farm of 320 acres of land.
