From February 14th to April 18th, 1918, the Advocate-Tribune newspapers, Indianola, Iowa, included caricatures on the front page entitled “Indianola People You Know” with little bodies, big heads, and tiny images around each person recounting their lives.

Manager of Green Bay Lumber Co., Indianola – one of the largest and finest yards in the state…Born in Des Moines, he used to have lots of fun exhibiting his ponies at the State Fair… Played football in school….very fond of music and played in the band and orchestra at school… His first job was with Green Bay Lumber Co. in 1908. Later he managed yards at Stuart and Glidden, Iowa….Member of Ancient Free & Accepted Masons, and Knights of Pythias
