MILBURN LAVERN PALMER
Dr. M. L. Palmer, dentist at Indianola, was born at RicevilIe Aug. 2, 1908. His parents are Vernon G. and Fannie E. Palmer. He graduated from the Riceville high school in 1926, and continued his studies at the State University of Iowa, where he received the degree of doctor of dental science in 1932.
May 28, 1934, M. L. Palmer married Alice Worth Scroggs, daughter of Dr. R. E. and Mrs. Bessie B. Scroggs. Mrs. Palmer, daughter of a dentist, was born at Indianola March 20, 1909. Dr. and Mrs. Palmer have two sons: Richard V., born April 16, 1938, and Milburn L. Jr., born Sept. 6, 1940.
Dr. Palmer is a member of the American Legion, the Lions club, the American Dental association and the State Dental association. Fraternally he is affiliated with the Masons. The Palmers belong to the Methodist Church. During World War II Dr. Palmer served as major in the armed forces. For four years he was stationed at Camp Wheeler, Ga., and for one year he was with 254th General Hospital, Aachen, Germany. Dr. and Mrs. Palmer live at 605 West Ashland, Indianola.
