CARL ANTHONY MEIER
The Rev. Carl A. Meier, pastor of the Immaculate Conception parish at St. Marys, was born at Dubuque Jan. 6, 1913. He is the son of Charles A. and Lillian Anna Meier. The Rev. Mr. Meier graduated from Dowling High School and junior college. He continued his studies at St. Ambrose College in Davenport, where he received the degree of bachelor of arts. He then spent four years studying in the seminary at St. Paul, Minnesota, and three additional years at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D. C., where he received the degree of doctor of canon law.
The first parishes served by the Rev. Mr. Meier were St. Mary's of Rosemount and St. Augustine's at Milo. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Canon Law society of America. He has been active in CROP and Red Cross drives.
