LELAND S. JOHNSON
Leland S. Johnson is a native of Iowa and a long-time resident of Virginia Township. He was born November, 1891, and attended high school and college. In 1921 he married Ruth Smith. The daughter born to Mr. and Mrs. Johnson is now Mrs. E. L. Elder.
Mr. Johnson is a member of the New Virginia Lions club and for the past 30 years he has been a member of the Farm Bureau. He has also been active in Triple-A work in Virginia township. A few years ago he established a purebred Angus cattle herd and now ,has 35 head of purebred cattle on his farm.—(A.E.S.) [written by Alden Edward Smalley]
