FRANK PERRIN HENDERSON
Frank P. Henderson, attorney at Indianola, was born at the place where he now lives Nov. 11, 1875. He is the son of John H, and Nancy Jane (Spray) Henderson. He is the grandson of Paris P. Henderson who is a prominent figure in the early history of Warren County, having been the organizing sheriff of the county and a judge in its early courts as well as colonel in the Civil war.
Frank P. Henderson attended the public schools of Indianola, and graduated from Simpson college in 1899. He prepared himself for the legal profession at the college of law of the State University of Iowa. Oct. 2, 1902, he married Mirtie Anderson (deceased), born at St. Charles, Iowa, in 1875, daughter of John Templeton and Elects Jane (Bean) Anderson. Children born to this marriage were: John Hancock, born July 9, 1904, and Alice (Kite), born Jan. 6, 1910. Mrs. Mirtie Henderson died early in 1934.
April 6, 1935, Frank P. Henderson married Daisy Gillogly, who was born on a farm near Patterson, Iowa, April 26, 1875, her parents being James A. and Sarah Jane (Bell) Gillogly. Mrs. Cleo Nunn Davis, daughter of Mrs. Henderson, was born July 25, 1901. Mrs. Daisy Henderson died in 1952.
Mr. Henderson is a charter member of the Indianola Rotary club. He is a member of the American Bar association and the Iowa State Bar association. He is a trustee of Simpson college and since 1919 he has been secretary of the board of trustees of that institution. His father was the first secretary of the trustees of Simpson college, which position he held until succeeded by his son. Every diploma issued by Simpson college to this date has borne the signature either of J. H. Henderson or F. P. Henderson.
Mr. Henderson's religious affiliation is with the Methodist church. In politics he supports the Republican party. Address: 401 West Ashland, Indianola.
