ROLLA D. AMSBERRY
Rolla D. Amsberry, retired businessman and farmer of Milo, was born at Coalport, Marion County, Iowa, July 29, 1880, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Amsberry.
Dec. 23, 1903, Rolla D. Amsberry married Mary Lenora Mayes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Mayes, born Oct. 4, 1883. Mr. and Mrs. Amsberry have two children - James, born Dec. 25, 1904, and Loraine, born Feb. 4, 1907.
Mr. Amsberry operated a farm until October, 1926, when he bought a hardware and implement store in Milo. He continued in this business until July 1, 1951, when he retired. At present he spends some of his time on his farm about three miles east of Milo. He has for years been a member and steward of the Methodist church at Milo. His political affiliation is with the Republican party. His twin brother, Ray V. Amsberry, is cashier of the Peoples Trust and Savings bank at Milo. The Amsberrys live in Milo.
