The following men and women have been selected as typical of the outstanding recognition achieved by alumni of Simpson College in representative fields of endeavor:

THE STAGE – Leota Lane (Oct 25, 1903 – July 25, 1963) and Lola Lane (May 21, 1906 – June 22, 1981)
Leota and Lola Lane, stage and screen stars, under direction of Gus Edwards, for more than a year in “Ritz-Carlton Nights,” also appeared in “Greenwich Village Follies”; Leota Lane has sung lead roles in “The Dagger and the Rose”; and in “Luckee Girl,” and Victor Herbert’s “Babes in Toyland” under direction of the Shuberts; Lola Lane has appeared in “Speakeasy,” “The Girl from Havana,” “Fox Movietone Follies of 1929,” and “Let’s Go Places,” screen productions.
