Biography for James M. Brown (1853-1944)

James M. Brown was born in Ohio April 10, 1853. He married Linnie D. around 1883 and had two children. One daughter, Carrie A., was born in Iowa, September of 1876. James M. Brown served as the Auditor for Warren County, Iowa from 1896-1899. In 1900 the family lived in Union Township, Warren County, Iowa. In 1905 they moved near Carlisle, and in 1910, Madison County, Iowa. By 1920 James moved his family to Akron, Ohio and that is where he and Linnie died. They’re both buried in Crown Hill Cemetery, Summit County, Ohio. James M. Brown died August 21, 1944. Linnie was born June 5, 1862 and died February 25, 1937.
