I was raised in Hinsdale Illinois and as kids we used to ride our bikes to American Archery to watch the people test archery equipment (one guy was the ace that could put the arrows in the center of the targets at the range next to the building). My brother and myself each got fiberglass bows from the AA factory, His a green one and mine a burnt orange. Frequent trips to buy additional arrows was needed as the arrows would bury themselves in the grass and be almost impossible to find. Today while going through some items in storage, I found my old bow, less the string, but otherwise the bow is as I recall. The label is still glued on, but all the letters are gone now. As we got older we got BB guns and then .22 rifles as yooung men did back in the 60s.
