The following is from the Ottumwa Courier dated April 14, 1952. I could find no other obituary than this.

[Headline] Claude Starr, Eldon Grocer, Dies at 65

"Eldon - Claude S. Starr, 65, died unexpectedly about 6:45 a.m. today at the home of his brother-in-law, William Sapp, in Eldon.

He and his wife had operated the Starr grocery the past 11 years. He was an active member of the New Hope Masonic lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Audrey, and a son Claude, Jr. of Ft. Worth, Texas; two grandchildren and two half sisters in Ohio.

The body is at the Campbell Funeral Home."

NOTE: He is buried in the Eldon Cemetery along with his wife Audrey Sapp Starr. She died in 1971.
