May 16, 1896 --- March 20, 1976

Mrs. Mima Ruth Latta, 78, of 213 S. Ward, died Saturday at 9:25 p.m. at Ottumwa Hospital. Born May 16, 1896, at Mount Holly Springs, Pa., to John and Ella Kiefer, she lived in Chicago until 1950 when she moved to New Sharon. In 1958, she moved to Ottumwa and was a member of the Willard Street United Methodist Church. She married Orville H. Latta June 11, 1927. He died May 24, 1969. Surviving is one son, Gerald Reichard of Maywood, Ill. Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Willard Street United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Russell officiating with burial in Shaul Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harold Davis, Russell Wise, Verl Dawson, Linus Coyne, Carey Swartz and Wilson Leonard. The casket will be taken from the Reece Funeral Home to the church Tuesday at 9 a.m. and will be closed at the beginning of the service.
