Yes, that should be my Bessie McDavitt Snyder. You posted an obituaries for my Great Grandfather Michael E. McDavitt (McDivitt) and my Grandfather Hugh McDavitt on 10 July 2004. The obit for Michael listed her as Mrs. Elizabeth Synder. The obit for Hugh listed her as Mrs. Bessie Leaghy (sp). The 1930 US Census for Iowa, Wapello County, District 18 reflects the John C. Leahy family.

J.C. stands for "John C.". I located him on the 1910 US Census with his first wife. I have not been able to locate Bessie Synder on this census yet. Given this appears to be their second marriage each and given the year of marriage; I suspect their spouses may have died from the Spanish Flu epidemic.
