DAY FAMILY INFO NEEDED~~~~

My grandfather was Robert Eugene Day. Born May 02,1899 lepper Mo. and died Sept. 1946, St.Louis, Mo.

Among some old letters of a great-aunt I found a receipt.
I don't think my great aunt would have kept it, if it hadn't of meant something to her. It was quietly slipped away over the years between letters she had saved from her husband who served in WW11.

The receipt were about the family Day. James H. Day and Helen N. Day living at 1249 N. Elm Street. The receipt was a statement from the Union Bank and Trust Co. from Ottumwa, Iowa. Dated May 14, 1937. with a balance of $5.87.

(My mother would have been 7 years old, living with this aunt when this receipt was active. Her father was Robert Day. My mother was raised by her grandparents. She was never told about her father until she was in her 60's. Her mother had her out of wed-lock and it just wasn't spoke about back in 1930. I'm searching the Day family from Mo.)

If anyone can be of some help in regards to James H. and Helen N. Day, it would be appreciated. This has become a mystery recipe. Anyone that might have known about the receipt has since passed away.
