Hello,
I understand you are a volunteer for searching records for those looking for info in and about Wapello County, IA.

I am looking for the death record of Owen Toland. In 1870 census he was in Fulton, Muscatine, IA. He was married to Louisa Lawrence Richmond (married prior to Owen). I am trying to prove Owen's link to his father Cornelius Toland (John Cornelius) who is a patriot. I am in the DAR and this is the only patriot I can find on my Mother's side, as her grandparents came from England. Her mother, (my grandmother) was born in Altoona, IA (Anna Mabel Atkin) and married Earl Chauncey Toland, son of Martin Lawrence Toland, son of Owen. My mother was born in Ottumwa (Helen Lucile Toland)
I think Owen Toland died between 1870 & 1880 but not sure, and was born abt 1806. (He was 64 in the 1870 census). If you can help me, I would REALLY appreciate it. This has been a brick wall for years. A cemetery record would be wonderful.
