Charles was the son of William Daggett and Hester Brown. William was born 20 March 1819 in Delaware County, Ohio and died 12 March 1899 in Freeman, Cass County, Missouri. He was the son of Israel Daggett and Eunice Champlain. Hester was born 22 May 1826 in Preble County, Ohio and died 18 July 1892 in Clinton, Henry County, Missouri. She was the daughter of Mercer Brown. William Daggett and Hester Brown were married in Cass County, Indiana 31 March 1844. You can find them in the 1850 Census of Washington Township, Cass County, Indiana page 462. In 1860 they lived in Drakesville Township, Davis County, Iowa page 817. In 1870 they can be found in Dahlonega Township, Wapello County, Iowa page 117. In 1880 they lived in Ravanna Township, Mercer County, Missouri page 98.
