Frank McIntire was a member of the Harper & McIntire Company; wholesale dealers of ottumwa, Iowa.He is a native of Wapello County.

He began his work as a clerk in the hardware store of Eagan, Harper and Company on April 15, 1880.He became a traveling salesman for the firm until 1891.

As of 1901, he is vice President of the Ottumwa Savings Bank.He is also President of the Iowa Hardware Jobbers' Association.

William A. McINTIRE was his father. page 223
State Senator from Wapello County Iowa.
He was born in Wapello County Iowa April 13, 1849 to William Clark McINTIRE. In 1888 he established himself in the Hardware Business in Ottumnwa under the name of W.A. McINTIRE & Company. He has followed the hardware business since that time.
