I have Uriah's obit--I got it this summer in Oberlin, OH. I had thought Uriah had died in Weeping Water, NE, because he was living there for the 1870 census, but according to obit, he died in Agency City, October 14, 1871. He was born in Derby, CT then moved to Montrose PA, Birmingham, OH, then Oberlin, OH where he lived until going to IA and NE with his family 4 years before death. That's most of what the obit says in the Lorain County New, Oct. 26, 1871.

Also, have you seen Uriah's memories of early settlers of Erie Co, OH in the Firelands Pioneer of Sept. 1861? Lots of interesting info there.

My problem is verifying Uriah's father/ grandfather, etc. Do you have anything confirmed on that?
