I can find no marriage as you describe. I do find 2 Wapello county marriages for Gortner women. Anna Belle Gortner married William Riley Kuhn on 16 Apr 1902 and Flora E. Gortner married Elmer E. Pack on 28 Apr 1889. Also, Clarence M. Gortner married Lillie M. Luellen on 2 Jul 1901.

You need to remember that there were no "official" marriage records in Wapello county until 1880 and that the recording of marriages priot to that time was very sporadic.
