Herschel C. LOVELESS was Mayor of Ottumwa, Iowa 1949-1953. He was the Governor of Iowa 1957-1961. He was married to Amelia HOWARD who was born September 14,1914. Governor LOVELESS was born May 05, 1911 and died May 04, 1989. He is buried in the Ottumwa City Cemetery. I have a picture of the stone but my scanner is not working.
