Frank J. Romph
A native Ottumwan, Frank J. Romph, 65, of Gallatin, Mo., died there Friday following a short illness.
He was born March 19, 1909, in Ottumwa. He was a resident of Ottumwa until 1929, when he was appointed to the Post Office Department in Washington D.C. He retired as an inspector in Jefferson City, Mo. He was a member of the Gallatin Methodist Church, Retired Post Office Inspectors Organization and the Gallatin Country Club.
Surviving are his wife, Thelma of Gallatin; two daughters, Arlene Easter of Alexandria, Va., and Judy Boney of Roeland Park, Kan.; his mother, Mrs. Alice Hissem of Ottumwa; and two brothers, Maurice (Romph/Ruph) and Jessie(Jess) Hissem , both of Ottumwa.
The service will be Tuesday 1:30 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Gallatin, Mo.
