Sylvester B. O’Bryan, 43, died at 11:30 a.m. today at the St. Joseph hospital. He had been in the employ of the Standard Oil company for 18 years and had resided in Ottumwa for two years, making his home at 232 East Fourth street. He was transferred here from Creston. He was born in Melrose. Mr. O’Bryan is survived by his wife, Margaret, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester O’Bryan of Kenosha, Wisconsin, two brothers Dick and Dan in the armed services, and three sisters, Mrs. George Huntoon of Eldon, Mrs. Cance Tennant of St. Louis and Mrs. G.T. Hall of Kenosha. The body was removed to the Lester Jay funeral home to await completion of funeral arrangements.
Funeral services for Sylvester B. O’Bryan who died Tuesday morning, will be held Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. Thursday from St. Mary’s Catholic church, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. J.M. Walsh V.F. will be in charge of the requiem high mass. Burial will at 1 p.m. in the Glendale cemetery at Des Moines. Members of the parish will recite the rosary at 8 o’clock tonight at the Lester Jay funeral home.
