Benjamin Work Jones, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. James R. Jones of 2016 North Court road, died at 5:20 a.m. today at Children’s hospital, St. Louis, where he had been taken for medical treatment. Immediate cause of death was bronchial pneumonia. The baby was born July 23 and is survived by the mother and father, the latter recently honorably discharged from the Navy, and by a grandmother, Mrs. W.P. Jones of Lovilla.
The body is being returned to Ottumwa and private funeral services will be held at the residence Friday afternoon.
