Walter Chambers, 78, of Ottumwa route 5, died at 8 a.m. today at the Ottumwa hospital. He was born November 7, 1863, in England the son of George and Ann Chambers. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Harriet Cavanaugh of Ottumwa and Mrs. Rose Martin of Woodward, and by several nieces and nephews. The body is at the Lester Jay funeral home pending completion of funeral arrangements.
Funeral services for Walter Chambers, who died Thursday morning at the Ottumwa hospital, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Lester Jay funeral home in charge of the Rev. Edward D. Byrd of the East End Presbyterian church. Burial will be in the Ottumwa cemetery.
