Donald B. Spurlock 40, former Ottumwan, died at Oelwein hospital at 7 p.m. Saturday. He was born May 11, 1904, in Ottumwa the son of Charles H. and Anna Spurlock. Survivors include his wife, Margaret, Waterloo, a daughter Rhey Ann, Waterloo, three brothers, Paul and Walter Spurlock, both of Ottumwa and Charles Spurlock, Pittman, Ohio, and two sisters, Mrs. Helen Jones, Ottumwa and Mrs. Blanche Mosley, Waterloo. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Johnson funeral chapel, conducted by the Rev. E.L. Frost of the Davis Street Christian church. Burial will be in Sahul cemetery. The body arrived here at noon today and was taken to the funeral chapel.
Funeral services for Donald B. Spurlock, former Ottumwan, who died Saturday at the Oelwein hospital, were held at 10:30 a.m. today at the Johnson funeral chapel in charge of the Rev. E.L. Frost. Burial was made at Shaul cemetery. He was also survived by one son, Donald Wayne of Ottumwa.
