Frank E. Kelley, 85, 109, East Woodland avenue, died at 3:40 a.m. today in the hospital at the Wapello county home. He was the son of Martin and Marietta Kelley, and was born at Genesco, Illinois, May 2, 1859. He came to Iowa in 1900, settling near Highland Center, where he resided until coming to Ottumwa 24 years ago. Surviving are his wife, Mary, two sons, Richard of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Raymond of Los Angeles, California, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A brother Fred Kelley of Erie, Illinois, and two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Hayes and Miss Minnie Kelley, both of Rock Island, Illinois also survive. His first wife Maude died in 1904, and one son, Hartzell, preceded him in death in 1837. The body was taken to the Community funeral home to await completion of funeral arrangements.
Funeral services for Frank E. Kelley, 109 East Woodland avenue, who died at the Wapello county home hospital at 3:40 a.m. Wednesday will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Community funeral home. The Rev. R.C. Keagy, pastor of the Wesley Methodist church will be in charge. Burial will be made in the McCormick cemetery near Highland Center. Pallbearers will be Andy Shafer, Charles Storm, O.W. Bull, Willard Ester, William Robertson and Leonard Kielkoph.
