Mrs. Fannie Beghtol, 54, wife of A.S. Beghtol, died at 3:40 p.m. Sunday at her home, 10 Queen Ann avenue. The daughter of Hugh and Mary Christy, she was born in Davis county September 2, 1889, and had been a resident of Ottumwa for 11 years. She was married to LeRoy Thompson in 1910. He died in 1918 and on March 3, 1921 she and Mr. Beghtol were married. She is also survived by three sons and two daughters, Kenneth Thompson, U.S. Navy, New York; Arthur Thompson, at home; William D. Beghtol, U.S. Navy, South Pacific; Waneta Thompson at home, and Mrs. Mildred Dudley, Moravia; also seven grandchildren; two brothers, Eph Christy, Ottumwa and David Christy Bloomfield, and a sister, Mrs. Carrie Boles, Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by three sisters and her parents.
The funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Johnson’s chapel conducted by the Rev. A.D. McClure. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery. Nephews will be pallbearers.
