Hedrick – Mrs. Margaret Annabel Berry, 66, wife of H.E. Berry of Hedrick, died at 1 a.m. Sunday at the Mahaska hospital at Oskaloosa after six months’ serious illness. She is survived by her husband, three sons, Ellis of Rock Island, Illinois, and Wayne of Martinsburg; two daughters, Mrs. Orr Marion of Delta and Mrs. Vaun Weaver of Rock Island; 19 grandchildren, four of whom are in the armed services; three sisters, Mrs. John Kuyper of Oskaloosa, Mrs. Florence Correll of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Mrs. Alice Clapp of Liberal, Kansas, and a brother Walter Lane of South English. Funeral services will be held at the Christian church at Hedrick at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in charge of the Rev. Clark Utterback. Burial will be at Brooks cemetery with nephews action as pallbearers. She was the daughter of Jackson and Sarah E. Lane and was born near South English, January 6, 1878. The body was to be taken this afternoon from the Community funeral parlors in Ottumwa to the Berry home in Hedrick.
