Mrs. Edna Gardner, 53, wife of Q.E. Gardner of Chillicothe, died at 10 a.m. today at Ottumwa hospital, where she was a medical patient. She is survived by her husband, three sons, Charles Gardner of Chillicothe, Private William Gardner of Denver and Homer Gardner at home; on granddaughter, Ilene Gardner, one brother Charles McCoy of Los Angeles; one sister, Mrs. Carl Webb of Los Angeles and her mother, Mrs. Luella McCoy of Los Angeles. The body has been removed to Johnson’s funeral chapel to await completion of funeral arrangements.
Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Gardner, 57 (this is different that the 53 listed above) wife of Q.E. Gardner, Chillicothe, who died Wednesday at Ottumwa hospital, will be Saturday at the Columbia church at Dudley at 1:30 p.m. conducted by the Rev. and Mrs. Lawrence Hight of the Packwood Methodist church. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn cemetery. The body will remain at the Johnson funeral chapel until 11 a.m. Saturday when it will be taken to the church.
