Ross Veach, 60, of Batavia died at noon today at the St. Joseph hospital here, after six months failing health. He was a member of the Batavia school board, the Masonic lodge and had spent most of his life in the Batavia community. He was born near Batavia, October 15, 1883, the son of Jonathan and May Veach. He is survived by his wife, Eunice; four grandchildren, a brother Ray, of Ottumwa, and sister, Mrs. Ella Chamberlain of Minneapolis. His daughter, Mrs. Russell M. Lindley of Moulton, died May 14, 1944. The body is at the Community funeral parlors at Ottumwa.
