Death Comes To Hal W. Clark, 65

Hal W. Clark, 65, above owner and operator of the Central Culvert Co. for the past 25 years, died suddenly at 7:20 p.m. Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John F. Raney of 901 East Highland avenue. He was born August 29, 1878, in Woodburn, the son of James and Elizabeth Clark, and he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edith Clark, two daughters, Mrs. Raney and Helen Louise Clark of Ottumwa. He is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. William Galloway, Center Hill, Florida, Mrs. George Ralling, Moravia, and Mrs. Cora Liken Pocatello, Idaho. The Clark family had recently sold their home at 217 Oakwood avenue and were waiting opportunity for occupancy of the new home that they had purchased at 1811 North Jefferson street. He was a member of the First Methodist church here and of the Elks lodge. Funeral services were held at 1:30 this afternoon from the Lester Jay funeral home, in charge of the Rev. W.R. Keesey. Burial was in Ottumwa cemetery.
