SERVICES MONDAY FOR G.H. HARING

Was Employed By Burlington Railroad Twenty-five Years; Conductor 14 Years.

Short Funeral services for George H. Haring, 305 North Sheridan avenue, who died at the St. Joseph hospital at 2:45 p.m. Friday, will be held Monday morning at 9:30 at the residence and at 10 o’clock at the First Baptist church. The Rev. Fred W. Smith, pastor will officiate. Burial will be made in the Shaul cemetery.

Pallbearers will be employes of the Burlington railroad and music will be furnished by other employes of the railroad.

The body was first removed to the Johnson funeral chapel and then taken to the home this morning. Friends may call at the home until the hour of services. The casket will not be opened at the church.

Mr. Haring was 48 years old at the time of his death. He was born in Hollenberg, Kan., December 22, 1885, the son of Albert C. and Mary Jane Haring, and came to Ottumwa in 1903. For the last twenty-five years he had been employed by the Burlington railroad and for fourteen years was a conductor.

He was a member of the Burlington Veterans’ association, Ottumwa chapter No. 11, and local lodge No. 12 of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Martha M. Haring; three brothers, J.F. Haring of Huntington Park, Calif., W.C. Haring of Wichita, Kan., and C.M. Haring of Chicago, and a half sister, Mrs. K.M. Snyder of Edge Water, Colo.
